PLATTSBURGH — Prentice Miller nailed a buzzer-beater to lift the Clinton Community College men’s basketball team to a 77-75 win over Jefferson Community College Sunday.
The Cannoneers’ Tymire Riddick hit a three to tie the game at 75-all with six seconds remaining.
But the Cougars responded.
“Rijkaard Jean Baptiste went the length of the floor and missed, but Prentice Miller was able to get the rebound, and put up a 5-footer that dropped in at the buzzer,” Clinton coach Kevin Daugherty said. “This was a much-needed clutch win against a good Jefferson team to finish up the first semester.”
Jean Baptiste (22), Justin Shuyler (18), Mathew Smiley (12) and Miller (10) all finished in double figures for the Cougars.
